Why we build purposeful software
Upperkai is a software company with one aim: to build products that simplify everyday tasks and leave the people who use them better off.
What drives us
A lot of everyday life runs through software, and a lot of that software makes simple things harder than they need to be. Too many steps, too many settings and too much asking for attention. We started Upperkai to build the opposite: products with a clear purpose that do their job and get out of the way.
We design, build and ship our own products. That lets us hold every one of them to the same standard and keep improving them long after launch.

Purpose first
Every product needs a clear reason to exist: a real task, done often, that people would be glad to have simpler.
Simple by default
Sensible defaults, clear words and as few steps as possible. Settings are there for those who need them, not as a substitute for decisions.
Built to last
We look after what we ship. Products get steady improvements and real support, not a launch followed by silence.
Respect for attention
We do not build products that try to keep you scrolling. Success means you finished your task and moved on.
